Today’s Dress!

31 Jan

Today’s dress is a stunning silk-chiffon empire-waist gown by Elizabeth Fillmore. The detail work in the bodice is just so absolutely gorgeous I had to share. I love the ethereal feel of the twisted straps and the clustered little rosettes are right up my alley! Gorgeous!

I am Loving…

31 Jan

Cute illustrated V-Day cards! Valentines day is just about two weeks away and yes it’s a deeply commercial holiday but I love love so I must celebrate this contrived celebration of love. And if you really love your significant other, consider getting them one of these adorable cards instead of something cheesy from the card aisle at Walgreens. Goooo love!

Swoon Worthy Links…

28 Jan

There was a lot of link worth eye candy out there in the blogosphere this week. Here is a healthy collection of some of my favorites!

I love everything about this glamorous inspiration shoot on The Wedding Chicks. Sequins? Check! Black and white stripes? Check! Rich red and purple details? Check!

I drooled over the style and decor from this DIY backyard wedding over at Magnolia Rouge. I am a sucker for vintage furniture pieces used as outdoor decor. And how about sea-foam green dresses with boots?!

This intimate Austin brunch wedding on Ruffled goes to show that sweet and simple can be just as beautiful as a big to do!

This Georgia Lakeside wedding on Style Me Pretty, complete with a beautiful location and a musical bridal party parade is so sweet is makes my cheeks hurt!

Love love this bright and whimsical NY Wedding on Style Me Pretty! A bride in rain boots never goes out of style!

The color scheme in this Sidewalk at Sunset inspiration board from Snippet and Ink is aaaamazing!

This real wedding on 100 Layer Cake is almost too pretty to be real. And a venue with a vintage bowling alley? Are you kidding me?!

Vintage engagement shoot on Engaged Inspired with a bicycle and a picnic. Enough said.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! XOXOX

Today’s Dress!

28 Jan

Today’s dress is from the Vintage Wedding Dress Company and if you don’t know them, you need to. Their collections include vintage style gowns as well as original vintage gowns and accessories from all different decades. Everything is beautiful. I picked this gown to feature since I am having a love affair with dramatic backs this week. It’s from Their “Decades: Lace: 1940’s” collection. You don’t see a cowl back with lace very often, usually with silk or satin so I thought it was so unique!

Thirsty Thursday: Bing Cherry Mojitos

27 Jan

So my creative little hubby came up with the idea to do a weekly Thirsty Thursday post where I feature a signature cocktail idea. Nine out of ten of his blog ideas are questionable, but this was actually a really good one. So today I present the first Thirsty Thursday signature cocktail – Bing Cherry Mojitos! The presentation is pretty (the color is rich and its an excuse to use a punch bowl) and they sound delicious. So if you’re having a summer wedding, consider serving up a glass! Find the Martha Stewart recipe here.

I am in love with the back of Today’s Dress from Michelle Rahn. You must check out her collection, it’s gorgeous! You can see more views of this gown by clicking here. The front is simple but it would have to be with the dramatic plunging back. It’s so 1920’s,1930’s ish . I LOVE it!

Inspiration: A Parisian Love Affair

27 Jan

The inspiration behind this board was the beautiful boutonniere. I absolutely adore black and white stripes. There is something so Parisian and striking about them and paired with pink makes it the perfect Parisian romance!
