Today’s Dress: Badgley Mischka (Spring 2012)

26 Apr

Holy ball gown Badgely Mischka! This wedding gown is so regal. The sash detail across the front reminds me of those sashes British Royalty wear when they get all dresses up. This dress is totally fit for a princess. Gorgeous!

Spring Bouquet Inspiration (Part II): Blushing Blooms

26 Apr

Continuing my week of spring bouquet inspiration with beautiful pale pink hues. Arguably one of the most popular floral shades – I guess there are just a lot of girly girls out there. There are so many pink flowers out there. If you want to be a little different maybe steer clear of the go-tos like peonies, roses and ranunculus. Challenge you florist to come up with some alternate blooms like sweet peas, dahlias, astilbe or tulips.

Tuesday Shoesday: Stuart Weitzmen “Kimbow” Pump

26 Apr

Happy Tuesday Shoesday ladies (and gents if you’re out there)! I love love love today’s shoes from Stuart Weitzmen. The “Kimbow” pump can be found at Nordstrom for  a pretty steep price of $375 (not completely unjustifiable for a one and only pair of wedding shoes). The nude tone plus the so in style rosette make these peep toes so irresistable. If I had a few extra hundreds lying around I would get these because you pair them with all your pretty summer dresses!

Today’s Dress: Bruce Oldfield

25 Apr

This dress stopped me in my tracks when I came across it on Wedding Inspirasi. The 1940’s silhouette, the lace, the delicate but sophisticated bow belt. British designer Bruce Oldfield has captured my heart with this one. My, my, my!

Spring Bouquet Inspiration (Part I): Peachy Keen

25 Apr

Spring really puts me in the mood for flowers. Everything is in bloom and color is returning to the world. So this week I am going to be featuring some colorful spring bouquet inspiration. Today’s focus is spring bouquets with vibrant peachy tones. These colors remind me of delicious things like orange sherbet and creamsicles. It pairs well with pinks and even purples as you can see in this amazing Dahlias bouquet from the Knot. I want one of these bouquets in a vase on my dinning room table right now please!

Today’s Dress: Jenny Yoo (Spring 2012)

21 Apr

Today’s dress is a flowy Jenny Yoo gown. I was really drawn to the uniqueness of the bodice. It’s a strapless bodice with a draped halter that comes out of the waistline which minimalistic floral belt. Each part is simple on its own but together it’s all quite striking and I think it’s a very romantic dress!

Thirsty Thursday: Fizzy Sour Cherry Lemonade

21 Apr

It’s sweet, tangy and fizzy. What more could you want from a fun summer cocktail? I love this twist on traditional lemonade from Gourmet. Cherry is a bit of an unexpected flavor, sparkling water gives it a refreshing touch and vodka gives it an adult rating (optional of course). Plus the cherry garnish is sweet as cherry pie! Get the recipe for fizzy sour cherry lemonade and get crackin’!
