I am Loving…

7 Feb

Mismatched groomsmen! I also love mismatched bridesmaids, but there’s something sooo stylish about a group of well dressed guys each expressing their own style. The rules about wedding fashion are pretty much antiquated. Now days you see groomsmen sporting all sorts of fun pieces – vests, skinny ties, casual bow ties, suspenders, cardigans, and even jeans! I love it all. Even something as simple as mismatched ties or different shade suits is so visually interesting! Green Wedding Shoes seems to be the mecca blog to find these handsome gentlemen!

These little Calimyrna figs I came across on Martha Stewart! According to Martha: “When cut lengthwise, they look like little hearts. They’re a sweet complement to cheeses, crusty breads, and salads.” Are these little things not the cutest for a Valentines dinner or as part of wedding cocktail hour cheese and wine spread?!

Cute illustrated V-Day cards! Valentines day is just about two weeks away and yes it’s a deeply commercial holiday but I love love so I must celebrate this contrived celebration of love. And if you really love your significant other, consider getting them one of these adorable cards instead of something cheesy from the card aisle at Walgreens. Goooo love!

Pinwheels! These nostalgic goodies are popping up in weddings as decor elements, replacing bouquets, as centerpieces and even on cakes. They are fun and different and whimsical and I am ‘ them. What do you think?

Baby’s breath! It’s much more beautiful on its own than as a filler for other flowers. It can be rustic or elegant. And the best part is that it’s inexpensive!

Picnic engagement shoots. I know, everyone is doing them now days..but there’s a reason they are so popular – they are adorable! You get to have a blanket and snacks and flowers and vintage books you’ve probably never read. So pleasing to the eye so I am going to celebrate this trend today because I do love it, I do, I do!
