Today’s Dress: Bruce Oldfield

25 Apr

This dress stopped me in my tracks when I came across it on Wedding Inspirasi. The 1940’s silhouette, the lace, the delicate but sophisticated bow belt. British designer Bruce Oldfield has captured my heart with this one. My, my, my!

Spring Bouquet Inspiration (Part I): Peachy Keen

25 Apr

Spring really puts me in the mood for flowers. Everything is in bloom and color is returning to the world. So this week I am going to be featuring some colorful spring bouquet inspiration. Today’s focus is spring bouquets with vibrant peachy tones. These colors remind me of delicious things like orange sherbet and creamsicles. It pairs well with pinks and even purples as you can see in this amazing Dahlias bouquet from the Knot. I want one of these bouquets in a vase on my dinning room table right now please!

Inspiration: Succulents and Steely Blue

12 Apr

When I saw the spring thistle arrangement in this board on Etsy I fell in love with the mix of the steely grayish blue and the subdued artichoke green. I immediately thought of succulents as the perfect complementing floral element since they have that unique grayish green color to them. Since the color theme was pulled from something organic I wanted to keep that organic feel with touches like the gray-blue river rock escort cards. Definitely not a color combo I would have thought of until I saw it, but I love the peacefulness of it!

Today’s Dress!

I love finding fab wedding dresses on Etsy. This one is by Your Fairytale Wedding. It’s such a sweet style with the delicate sleeves and lace around the neckline. I love the tiered lace skirt too! I’m not sure if these shots were from a real wedding or not, but either way the bride and groom are adorable.

RIP Elizabeth Taylor!

Today’s Dress!

I came across today’s Tadashi gown while perusing for a dress to wear to a wedding in April. It has the looks of a $5,000 gown but has a beautiful price tag of only $798. I love the one shoulder with the raw edge rosettes and the little baby pleats in the gown. It’s absolutely stunning!!
